Roundup of blogs and news - 9/3/09

The White House has withdrawn the call for students to "help Obama". We just need to keep calling them on their attempts to indoctrinate our children.

More great news from one of those beacons of National Health Care, Great Britain. The Telegraph reports that terminal patients are being made to die prematurely.

Charlie Rangel cannot pay his taxes, but apparently he has no problem giving campaign contributions to members of the ethics committee who are investigating him.

From the official White House Blog, believe it or not. You think they'd be a little more self-conscious about the whole Messiah thing.

Jim Geraghty, over at The Campaign Spot, delivers his take on the man whose finger was bitten off by a Health Care Reform supporter.

MoveOn.org describes having one's finger bitten off as "regrettable". Regrettable seems to be the new catch all phrase to express displeasure, whether finger biting or North Korean missile tests.

If you are not in medicine, I'm not sure that you can really appreciate how much defensive medicine drives up health care costs. It is in the back of our minds for everything we do. Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann writes about this for The Hill.

In the WSJ, Karl Rove explains Obama's problem - it is hard to sell change that voters don't think they need.

The enforcer for Health Care Reform? Your friendly IRS agency. I guess this means that Congressmen and Cabinet officials will be exempt.

The news about Van Jones, Obama's communist, radical, profanity-spewing, Republican-hating, "Green Jobs Czar" just gets better and better. It turns out that he is a "truther", too. Think about this when you hear all the talk about how radical conservatives are.

Dr. Helen discusses "Health Care for Clunkers".
